Book Groups
Each month, UCPL hosts three themed book groups, which are free and open to all. Call the Library at 314-727-3150 to get more information on participating in these discussions, or email the leader of each book group, listed below:
- Orcs & Aliens — This group focuses on new voices in science fiction and fantasy and meets on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. Email Kara at kkrekeler@ucitylibrary.org for information on participating.
- Rhythm & Books — Beginning in January 2024, this group centers on nonfiction books about music and meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. Email Kevin at kevin@ucitylibrary.org for information on participating.
- U City Book Group — Led by UCPL Director Patrick Wall, this group reads and discusses newer award-nominated or buzzed-about books, both fiction and non-fiction, and meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. (Note: the dates switch to the third Wednesday in November & December to accommodate the holidays.) Upcoming titles for each book are listed on the events calendar, and are available for checkout at UCPL.
