School District of University City, in partnership with UCPL, invites families and school district staff to participate in a thought-provoking book discussion of The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness by Jonathan Haidt.

This timely 2024 book examines how smartphones, social media, and technology have reshaped childhood and contributed to a rise in youth mental health concerns. The topic is especially relevant now as school districts across Missouri, including SDUC, implement new cell phone policies in response to Senate Bill 68.

This discussion will take place at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13 in the UCPL auditorium, and is free and open to all.
