Did you know you can check out a telescope at University City Public Library?  Thanks to a partnership with the St. Louis Astronomical Society, our patrons can check out a telescope for seven days.  All you need is a valid adult library card (age 17 minimum).

Each telescope is modified by SLAS to be more durable and patron-friendly and is equipped with everything needed to explore the night sky: user manual, constellation guide, Moon map, lens cleaner, night light, and a storage pouch. SLAS will provide the libraries with on-going educational support and telescope maintenance.

Other participating libraries include all of the Municipal Library Consortium of St. Louis County libraries , St. Louis Public and St. Louis County libraries.
